Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Balance Your
Nervous System

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that focuses on manipulating the fluid rhythm surrounding your brain and spinal cord, which is essential for the nourishment and detoxification of the nervous system. By using gentle touch on your head, neck, and sacrum (bottom of your spine), CST helps to release tension, allowing your body to naturally self-correct and realign.

CST improves the flow of synovial fluid within the meninges, which helps to enhance nutrient delivery and waste removal, providing relief from chronic tension and stress in the neck, back, and hips. This therapy also has the added benefit of balancing hormones, improving mood, and encouraging relaxation.

There are no deep pressure techniques and no kneading of muscles. Instead, it is a gentle, hands-on therapy that works with the body’s own rhythms to release tension, calm the nervous system, and restore balance.

During a session, you’ll remain fully clothed as Amber uses light, intentional touch on your head, spine, and sacrum, listening to the subtle movements of your body and guiding it toward a place of deep relaxation and self-correction. It’s a therapy rooted in stillness, where profound shifts can happen with the softest of touches.

Many clients describe it as a deeply meditative and restorative experience as if their body is unwinding layers of held tension in ways they never imagined possible. Craniosacral Therapy (CST) offers a space to truly slow down, reconnect, and allow healing to happen from within.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is not considered traditional massage

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) Questions

  • Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that helps release tension in the nervous system, improving the flow of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain and spine. It’s deeply restorative, balancing, and extremely relaxing, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

  • No, CST is very different from traditional massage. It involves a light, intuitive touch on the head, spine, and sacrum (the base of the spine) to encourage deep nervous system regulation. Many clients describe CST as feeling meditative, deeply calming, and almost weightless as if layers of tension are being released without force.

  • CST is beneficial for a variety of conditions, including:

    • Chronic pain & headaches

    • Anxiety, stress, & nervous system overload

    • Hormonal & energetic imbalances

    • Postpartum recovery

    • Unexplained tension or discomfort in the body

  • Despite the name, Craniosacral Therapy isn’t just for the head. The “cranio” refers to the skull, and the “sacral” refers to the sacrum—located at the base of the spine. CST is a gentle, full-body approach that can be applied anywhere. I’m trained to assess the body’s subtle rhythms, sometimes even starting at the feet to track stored energy cysts—areas that may hold unresolved emotion, trauma, or memory. And yes, the intraoral (mouth) work is often a powerful part of the process!
